Before autumns makes us all pull up the zippers on our cardigans again, Filmrauschpalast is getting out some of the really hot stuff.

On September 15th there will be a screening of two films by Jack Deveau (1963-1995), a filmmaker whose studio Hand In Hand Pictures greatly contributed to the Golden Age of Porn at the end of the 1970s.
Their gay porn pictures were characterised by intelligent, often humorous, scripts, artistic imagery and high production values.

The first film (at 6pm) is the summer comedy FIRE ISLAND FEVER (1979). During a christmas party, three people remember the hot summer holiday they shared that year. Except that they all remember the weeks of sun, drugs and cruising slightly different.
At 8pm there will be the film that started it all for the studio: In LEFT-HANDED (1974), a New York hustler seduces and dumps a straight man in a surreal porn piece with a throbbing jazz soundtrack.

The films will be projected from 16mm-film, and inbetween the films there will be trailers, as well as a Q&A with the Hand In Hand-expert Marco Siedelmann.
