Bundesplatz-Kino
The Bundesplatz movie theatre has been around since 1919, or quite possibly since 1913. There’s a lot we don’t know about the theatre’s past but one thing is clear: Karlheinz Opitz, Martin Erlenmaier and Peter Latta have infused the place with a new energy since they took it over in 2011. They did wonders with the run-down neighbourhood movie theatre and earned respect with their historical film series, such as “Diversity Destroyed 1933” and “No Future – Reality and Life Attitudes of German Youth in the 1980s.” Films are shown in the original with subtitles once a week.
