Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) has to consult incarcerated psychiatrist/cannibal Hanibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) to track down a serial killer preying on young women.

Adaptation of Thomas Harris' novel which was one of the rare horror films to win an Academy Award for best picture. Anthony Hopkins left such an impression with his iconic interpretation of Lecter that a more Lecter-centric sequel was devised, as well as a remake of MANHUNTER/RED DRAGON.
