Under the title “Community”, the Film Restored Festival, which takes place from October 23rd to 27th at the Arsenal cinema, is dedicated to “filmmaking, preserving film heritage and watching films as a communal experience” and takes a look at the stories that cinema tells about the topic of community. Thomas Harlan’s TORRE BELA (1975) is about the Carnation Revolution in Portugal, and LOUSY LITTLE SIXPENSE (AU 1986, D: Alec Morgan) is about Australia’s “Stolen Generation.“ There are workshops and talks, on archiving queer film history, for example, and the film prize of the cinematheque group will be awarded on 26.10.
