The film series about female friendships concludes its stint at Wolf Cinema with Cynthia Scott's THE COMPANY OF STRANGERS (Canada 1990). In this largely improvised docufiction film, seven older women, including a nun, a lesbian pioneer, and a Mohawk tribal elder, go on a bus trip and end up stranded after an accident. While they wait for help in the Canadian wilderness, they begin to tell each other about their - real – lives.
