The New York philosophy professor Sarah works on artistic ecstasy. Her husband Victor (Bill Gunn) has just sold a painting to a museum and wants to spend the summer in upstate New York, regardless of the fact that she needs access to a library for her work. He falls for the country life and for another woman; she takes revenge by accepting a role in one of her students’ films.
