Krokodil is screening Latvian films on two evenings that thematise the hidden costs of modern industry . On September 20th OLEG (2019, OV eng. ST) tells of the fate of a contract worker in a Belgian slaughterhouse who finds himself in the clutches of Polish gangsters. Director Juris Kursietis will be present. On September 23rd at 20:00 Laila Pakalniņa‘s fantastic, black and white essay film SPOON (2019, OmeU) follows the complex production and transportation chains that are necessary for everyday items like plastic spoons and does so with absolutely no dialogue.
