Filmrauschpalast will be showing a 35mm triple feature on November 24th, closing with Todd Phillip‘s JOKER. Before the descent into madness in dirty, desolate 1981 Gotham, we head to the black & white bloody metropolis of Robert Rodriguez‘ SIN CITY (2005), where men are angular-chinned, women are scantily dressed, and every problem can be solved with stylized extreme violence (often targetting male groins). Next up is Zack Snyder‘s WATCHMEN (2009), which combines Alan Moore‘s superhero genre deconstruction with a cool music video aesthetic which fully unfurls on 35mm film.
