In 2012 the derelict premises of the former "Reichsbahnausbesserungswerks (Railway Maintenance Facility) Friedrichshain" still housed venues like the RAW Tempel for electronic music events like the Schlagstrom Festival. But when Beate Kunath started working here, she noticed that the vast mjority of acts playing was male. To counter that, she started to invite DJanes and female musicians and immortalised them in her documentany RAW CHICKS. BERLIN.

On July 12th/13th, the Brotfabrik Kino will show RAW CHICKS BERLIN at 8.30pm and welcome the director for a Q&A afterwards.
