The film series at Filmkunst 66 continues in June with the British films of Alfred Hitchcock from the 30s: THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (1934, OmU on 1.6), 39 STEPS (1935, OmU on 8.6), SECRET AGENT (1936, OV with german subs on 15.6), SABOTAGE (1936, OV with German subs on 22.6) and THE LADY VANISHES (1938, OV with German subs on 29.6). In July, there will be screenings of John Huston’s films, namely THE MALTESE FALCON (1941, OV with german subs, on 6.7), THE TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE (1948, German version, on 13.7) and THE ASPHALT JUNGLE (1950, German version, 20.7).
