Global Screenings of SHOAH

Claude Lanzmann worked on SHOAH for eleven years, from 1974 to 1985. SHOAH is a 9½ hour long interview film in which the victims and perpetrators of the systematic murder of Jews by the Third Reich have their say. The film is considered to be an “epic masterpiece of the culture of memory“ and yet it is rarely screened in cinemas. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz on January 27 2020, the international literature festival (ilb) has called for a global film screening of SHOAH.

Brotfabrik Kino will show SHOAH starting at 14:00.
