The biggest Polish film festival away from Poland will show the works of known and unknown Polish artists in Berlin cinemas for the 11th time. Indies Acud Kino, Bundesplatz Kino, and fsk-Kino are also housing the festival.
In the „New Cinema“ section Agnieszka Smonczyńska lets mermaids mutate into vampires (CÓRKI DANCINGU/THE LURE), a teenager is trying to trap an alleged serial killer CZERWONY PAJĄK/THE RED SPIDER (D: Marcin Koszałka), and Tomasz Wasilewski, who won this year’s Best Screenplay Berlinale, depicts Polish society in the 90s in ZJEDNOCZONE STANY MIŁOŚCI/UNITED STATES OF LOVE. This year’s retrospective is dedicated to director and actor Jerzy Skolimowski.
