Former travel-writer and globetrotter Eva (Tilda Swinton) is looking back on the ruins of her life. The misery began with the birth of her son Kevin, who grew up to be highly intelligent but rebuffs all attempts by Eva to bond with him. And Kevin turned out to have bigger, darker plans.
