After nearly ruining his own wedding Victor (Johnny Depp) flees to the forest to collect himself. There he accidentally marries the undead Emily (Helena Bonham Carter). They are smitten with each other but Victor's family relies on him marrying the wealthy (and living) Vitoria (Emily Watson). Drawn between the Land of the Living and that of the Dead, as well as two women, Victor has a difficult decision ahead of him.
