From a limbo between the worlds, Mary Shelley (Jessie Buckley) possesses the gangster's moll Ida (Also Jessie Buckley), making her insult the gangster boss who runs the city and making her have a deadly accident. Soon after brilliant Dr. Euphronius (Annette Benning) exhumes Ida's body in order to resurrect it and create a companion to loneky Frankenstein's Creature (Christian Bale). Frank and The Bride go partying but as death and dance numbers occur around them, they soon find themselves outlaws on the run, and The Bride the figurehead for a female rebellion.
