Biographical drama about how Nikola Tesla (Ethan Hawke) stepped out of the shadow of his employer Thomas Edison (Kyle MacLachlan) and how their very different approaches to electricity turned them into rivals. Beyond that, Tesla also has to decide whether to focus on his work or pursue the affections of his financier's daughter, Anne (Eve Hewson).
