Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Weiwei curate an architectural project, inviting one hundred architects from 27 countries to each design a 1,000-square-meter villa.

The villas are to be combined to form a new community in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, according to a master plan designed by Ai. In Ordos 100 the group of international architects are enthusiastically welcomed to the project, with lavish banquets and political pomp, and give their impressions of this unique architectural collaboration. To date, the Ordos 100 project remains unrealized.
