Mickey and Mallory Know (Woody Harrelson and Juliet Lewis) are madly in love with each other, and have spent the last three weeks killing a total of 52 people. A year after they get arrested and incarcerated, reporter Wayne Gale (Robert Downey Jr.) who specialises in shocking reports on serial killers, wants to make the Knoxes even bigger media stars than they already are, by interviewing them exclusively from prison.
But Mickey and Mallory have their own plans.

Seen as a shockingly extreme example of screen violence at the time, Oliver Stone's NATURAL BORN KILLERS is far too arty for gorehounds and also far cleverer than the people clutching their pearls gave it credit. At the end of the day, it is a satire of how Stone saw media reactions to violence, using different image formats and Brechtian Verfremdungseffekt.

And for fans of aggressive 1990s music, it also featured one of the best soundtracks of the decade, courtesy of Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor.
