Māori river guardian Ned Tapa takes a group of friends and family on a canoe trip down the Whanganui River in Aotearoa, New Zealand. The 320-kilometre-long river is the first in the world to be granted legal personhood. For over 150 years, the Whanganui iwi have been passionately fighting to protect their sacred lifeline.
