In the days of the Kree-Skrull-Wars: Young Kree-warrior Vers (Brie Larson, ROOM) is captured and tortured. Her past which is a mystery to her as much as to her fellow Kree holds a secret which could make the Skrull victorious. After breaking out of captivity, Vers is on the run, and crashes on a little blue planet (Earth date about 1996). Her arrival gets her on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar and the cooperation of one Mr. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), who at this point still possesses two good eyes and is only a lowly desk jockey. But the Skrull are on Vers' tail and being shapeshifters, they have the advantage. Or so they think.
