Office drone Sam Lowry (Jonathan Pryce) is dispatched to clear up a small clerical error which had an innocent man blackbagged and executed. Sam who is prone to daydreams, in which he is the hero, runs into the woman who he always gets in his dreams. Pursuing her, he gets more and more into the gears of bureaucracy, which may ultimately crush him.

Very dark comedy from Monty Python's Terry Gilliam. A take on 1984 in a way, this has since become a cult classic. Also stars Robert De Niro as a renegade plumber.
